Survivors blazing new paths to the cure
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Survivors- Words are powerful; use it to your benefit. If you want health you must declare it. Speak health into your life with daily affirmations each morning when you arise and each night before you retire-
 "I am getting better everyday; I feel good health manifesting itself in every cell of my body. Good health is here and with open arms I accept and embrace it-  and so it is"... ...
Do it with conviction,  and it will be done. Speak healing into existence in your life.
There is an old adage that says- words are wind but blows are unkind.  Know that words are powerful tools...so use them to your advantage by speaking complete healing in your lives. Tap into the power of your inner-being. Realize that the only power anything has against you is the power that you give to it.  Take back your power from cancer. It is yours for the taking.
We must use  what we have to combat what we do not want?
 If you have faith as tiny as a mustard seed, you will say to the mountain  move from this place and it will.
C.A.B.C.O ---Caribbean American Breast Cancer Organization
 empowering the Caribbean community in the fight against breast cancer
 CabcoUSA.Org- Caribbean American Breast Cancer Organization is the ideal online destination for health and wellness resources for and about Caribbean American women, their families , friends, and caregivers. The vision of CabcoUSA is to empower and educate women of colour to improve their health status and adjust their mindset in an effort to attain happier, healthier and more productive lives. We seek to redefine how Caribbean American women incorporate wellness into their daily lives and positively impact the cancer veil of silence, the obesity epidemic, and the Caribbean diaspora to heal mind, body, and spirit.
Cancer facts about the Caribbean diaspora:
Approximately 5,000 new cases of cancer occur in the Caribbean Community each year. Cancer of the cervix is the most common form with nearly half the patients seeking attention at a stage too advanced for effective treatment. In women, breast cancer and cervical cancer accounts for half the cases...
  • Mortality rates from breast cancer have been increasing for at least 40 years in most Caribbean countries.
  • As recently as two decades ago breast cancer was not a significant public health concern in the Caribbean.
  • Changes in reproductive behaviors and socio-economic development are thought to have contributed to the increased risk of breast cancer.
  • Socioeconomic development has also increased women's health awareness and the demand for quality services
In regard to Caribbean women, studies show that out of three available screening methods (mammography, clinical breast examination, and breast self-examination), only mammography for women 50-69 years of age has been effective at reducing mortality, and has done so by an estimated 23%
